PAWS Mad Math Riddle

PAWS Mad Math!

Why is PAWS smiling? Becuase he is a math jokester and he has a math riddle for you… well, not exactly, but while he is learning to add a couple of bones together, I thought I would throw this math riddle out for the fun of it. So here it goes.

How many times can you subtract the number 4 from 40?

The immediate answer  the average dog would think would be: 10 Alas, that would be wrong. Wrong, how could that be wrong. 40 divided by 4 equals 10 and 4 goes into 40 10 times. Makes sense, right? Right. Well, the super dogs know that the correct answer is as follows:

You can only subtract the number 4 from 40 once! The reason, because after you subtract the number once you have 36 and are no longer subtracting from 40!

Pawsitively Yours,

Karen Barnett & PAWS (WOOF!)
